Tiskárna Xerox Phaser 3100 MFP (ovladač ok, tisk ne)

Prosím o radu a pomoc.

Nainstalován OS Linux Mint 17, 32bit a orig. ovladač od výrobce. Ovladač se chová stejně jako ovladače od jiných zdrojů, co jsem na netu sehnal. Instalace proběhne korektně, ale při poslání úlohy do tiskové fronty (na displeji tiskárny napíše úloha se zpracovává) se následně tisková fronta vyčistí a označí jako vyřízená a jak ve správci tak na displeji. Už jsem zkoušel návody z jiných cizích zdrojů, ale nic nepomohlo. Neví někdo, co s tím?

A co máš v čase tisku zapsáno v logách /var/log/cups/access.log, /var/log/cups/error.log a /var/log/cups/page.log?

To vypadá, jak kdyby tiskárna nekomunikovala s ovladačem. Je možná nainstalovaný, ale nedokáže navázat spojení s tiskárnou. Ikdyž posílá do tiskárný tisk... Zkus ho přeinstalovat nebo najít nějaký jiný.

Mam podobny problem s Xerox Phaser 6020, kterou jsem kupoval mj. i kvuli velkemu obrazku TUXe na krabici :-/ .

Nainstaloval jsem DEB balik z support stranky vyrobce, tiskarna se skutecne pridala a dokonce ji krasne vidim i v CUPS administraci ( http://localhost:631/printers/Xerox-Xerox-Phaser-6020 ) ... ale tiskne jen prazdnou stranku s tlustou svislou čarou v záhlaví. Dokázal by někdo poradit kde je zakopaný pes?

Mam ji na MINTu 17 s XFCE pripojenou pres WiFi (pripojeni je OK, oba moje Win stroje tisknou na prvni dobrou). Dost mozna muze bejt chyba jen v nejakym nastaveni.

Takze si odpovim sam (treba se to nekomu bude hodit). Pomohl mi tenhle postup modifikovanej na Xerox 6020:

A Detailed Procedure to do the above follows:

1. Download the (32-bit) Linux CUPS DEB print driver from Xerox here

which gives you a zip file in your Downloads directory, which you
can double click on to have the archive manager find and extract the real contents, the driver package,
xerox-phaser-6020_1.0-25_i386.deb

best extracted to your Downloads directory as assumed in the next step.

2. Open a terminal and execute the following four commands, assuming you've placed the driver
package in your Downloads directory, after which you may close the terminal.

cd ~/Downloads
sudo apt-get install -y ia32-libs
sudo apt-get install -y libcupsimage2:i386
sudo dpkg -i --force-architecture xerox-phaser-6020_1.0-25_i386.deb

3. Install the printer as usual by going to Printing item in the System Settings window or the Printers item on the system menu (top right) and clicking the button '+Add'. I found the Phaser 6020 on the network as I'm connected by ethernet, by clicking on "Network Printer', waiting for it to be found and selecting it. Then I chose the option 'AppSocket/JetDirect network printer via DNS-SD', clicked the "Forward" button and was able to immediately print a color test page.
